Job description Job Type: Full-time In partnership with our client, we are seeking a Utility Officer to support facility and operational functions in their Abuja branch. This role suits someone who is hands on, detail oriented, and comfortable keeping the physical and technical backbone of an organisation running smoothly. If you have a strong grasp of IT and facility operations, ideally within a medical or clinical setting, we want to meet you. Who are we looking for? • You are a reliable and proactive professional with at least 2 to 4 years of post graduation experience in utility, facility, or IT operations. • You have hands-on experience maintaining equipment, systems, and physical infrastructure, and you take pride in keeping things running without disruption. • You are comfortable working across multiple locations and adapting to different site needs and priorities. • Experience within a medical or clinical environment is highly preferable, and familiarity with the operational demands of such settings will be a strong advantage. • You are dependable, organised, and able to respond quickly to operational issues as they arise. Your Responsibilities: • Facility and Utility Operations • You will oversee the day to day maintenance of facility utilities, including power, water, and other essential systems, ensuring consistent and reliable service. • You will monitor equipment and infrastructure for faults or inefficiencies and coordinate timely repairs or servicing. • You will support the setup and maintenance of IT related infrastructure where required, working closely with relevant teams to resolve issues. • Compliance and Safety • You will ensure that facility operations comply with relevant safety and regulatory standards, particularly where applicable within clinical or medical environments. • You will maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs for accountability and reporting purposes. • Coordination and Support • You will liaise with vendors, contractors, and service providers to ensure timely and cost effective delivery of maintenance and utility services. • You will provide operational support across the Lagos, Abuja, and Asaba locations as needed, adjusting to shifting priorities and site specific requirements. What Success looks like: • Facility systems and utilities running with minimal downtime or disruption across all locations. • Maintenance issues identified and resolved promptly, with clear documentation supporting accountability. • Strong working relationships with vendors and service providers that support cost effective and reliable service delivery. • Smooth coordination across multiple sites, with consistent standards maintained regardless of location. To be considered for this role you should have: • A minimum of 2 to 4 years of post graduation experience in utility, facility, or IT operations. • Practical knowledge of facility systems and infrastructure maintenance. • Medical or clinical industry experience is highly preferable. • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities across different locations. • Good communication skills and the ability to work well with vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
