Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project accounting, particularly within consulting/contracting firms. They must demonstrate expertise in donor-funded project financing, contract bidding documentation, preparation of audited financial statements, and navigating statutory regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities would include your ability to; • Manage project accounting for consulting/contracting firm projects. • Draft comprehensive financing proposals for donor-funded projects. • Prepare accurate and timely audited financial statements. • Develop and submit contract bidding documentation in compliance with industry standards. • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure financial processes align with regulatory requirements. • Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to support organizational growth and compliance. • Ensure the organization meets all statutory regulatory documentation requirements, including but not limited to: • Tax Clearance Certificates • PENCOM Compliance Certificates • NSITF Compliance Certificates • ITF Compliance Certificates • PBE Certificates Requirements • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • Must be a Chartered Accountant (ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent). • Proven experience in consulting/contracting firm project accounting. • Strong understanding of donor-funded project financial management. • Demonstrated experience in preparing contract bidding documentation. • Proficiency in obtaining statutory regulatory documentation for bids. • Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills. • Proficient in financial software and tools. • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
