Job Title: Telecommunication Rigger Salary: N300,000 Location: Abuja, Nigeria Job Summary The Telecommunications Rigger is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and decommissioning of equipment on telecommunications towers, rooftops, and other elevated structures. This role ensures that antenna systems, feeders, mounts, and associated hardware are safely and securely installed to meet industry standards and project specifications. The Rigger works closely with tower technicians, RF engineers, and project managers to support network deployments and upgrades, including 4G/5G infrastructure. Responsibilities • Climb telecommunications towers, monopoles, rooftops, and other elevated structures to install and maintain equipment. • Install antennas, remote radio units (RRUs), microwave dishes, mounts, brackets, and feeder cables. • Perform rigging operations including lifting, positioning, and securing equipment using hoists and rigging gear. • Conduct tower inspections and identify structural or safety concerns. • Replace or repair faulty equipment, mounts, and cabling as required. • Ensure proper grounding, weatherproofing, and cable management practices. • Follow approved rigging plans, lift plans, and safety procedures at all times. • Complete site documentation, including installation reports and safety checklists. • Maintain tools, personal protective equipment (PPE), and rigging gear in safe working condition. • Comply with all company, client, and regulatory safety standards. Qualifications/Experience • SSCE and above required. • Previous experience in telecommunications tower rigging or related field preferred. • Experience working at heights and in outdoor environments.
