<p><strong>Maintenance & MEP Technician â Luxury Hospitality Operations (The Bahamas)</strong></p><p><br></p><p>We are supporting a prestigious private island hospitality operation in The Bahamas in the search for a Maintenance & MEP Technician. This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced maintenance professional with strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to safely complete a wide range of in-house repairs while recognising when specialist support is required.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Carry out daily, preventive, and scheduled maintenance across guest areas, back-of-house facilities, kitchens, docks, utility spaces, and technical plant rooms.</li><li>Perform practical repairs, including minor plumbing, basic electrical fault-finding, carpentry, painting, sealing, and repairs to doors, fixtures, fittings, and hardware.</li><li>Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance of MEP systems, including pumps, valves, filters, HVAC equipment, water supply, drainage, and wastewater systems.</li><li>Support specialist contractors during servicing and repairs of generators, reverse osmosis (RO) water systems, wastewater and sewage systems, HVAC, and electrical infrastructure.</li><li>Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, inventory of tools and spare parts, and ensure compliance with PPE requirements and safe working practices at all times.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>3+ years of hands-on maintenance experience within a hotel, resort, restaurant, facilities management, or MEP environment.</li><li>Practical skills in plumbing, basic electrical maintenance, carpentry, and general building repairs.</li><li>Working knowledge of pumps, drainage, water systems, and safe fault identification and reporting procedures.</li><li>A relevant trade certification or MEP qualification is advantageous.</li><li>Physically fit and capable of working in an island environment, including vessel transfers, lifting, and working at height.</li><li>Flexible and willing to work weekends, public holidays, and special events as operationally required.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Preferred Experience</strong></p><ul><li>Previous experience in hospitality or resort maintenance.</li><li>Experience working in a private island or remote island environment.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Please note: We are only able to consider applicants who have the legal right to work in The Bahamas.</strong></p><br/><br/>Please mention the word **STURDY** and tag RMjA4Ljc3LjI0NC43Ng== when applying to show you read the job post completely (#RMjA4Ljc3LjI0NC43Ng==). CAPTAIN (AUTEC-2025-23401):<br><br>Bowhead seeks a Captain to oversee the safe operation of going vessels over 150 in length, planning and execution of the exercise voyage plan in support of the Atlantic Undersea Test & Evaluation Center (AUTEC) at Andros Island, Bahamas.<br><br>Essential functions to include:<br><br><ul><li> Ensuring the safety of all crew and passengers. </li><li> Managing all crew assets to safely and effectively accomplish the exercise plan. </li><li> Navigating the vessel in a safe manner which maximizes the exercise plan execution and minimizes risk. </li><li> Monitoring vessel position to ensure proper deployment of MK30 and MK39 targets and the recovery of exercise torpedoes. </li><li> Communicating with range control, other range assets, crew and passengers, determining corrective action in the event that the vessel experiences a system failure, and accomplishing all post mission debriefings and documentation. </li><li> USCG Master 100 Ton Oceans license, Radar, Bridge Resource Management, and STCW certifications and endorsements. </li><li> Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. </li><li> Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts. </li><li> Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team. <br><br><br></li></ul>Physical Demands:<br><br><ul><li>Must be able to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds </li><li>Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time </li><li>Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically <br><br><br></li></ul>SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Secret level.
